FEMINIST PSYCHOTHERAPY: In order to find empowerment, it is important to identify larger institutions that have disempowered you such as extremist religion, patriarchy, colonialism etc. This approach believes your voice that was silenced is a valuable catalyst towards change. There is healing power in expression and being witnessed.
PSYCHODYNAMIC/JUNGIAN PSYCHOTHERAPY: this approach taps into deeper parts of yourself, or beliefs that you are aren’t aware of and brings them to your awareness. Thus, promoting opportunities for self reflection and understanding.
TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY: is a holistic approach that supports your spiritual growth & healing
HUMANISTIC/CLIENT CENTERED PSYCHOTHERAPY: believes that you are the expert of your life in which you define the therapeutic space while I hold and contain the space.
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY: DBT emphasizes acceptance and change in your life. From embracing and accepting yourself just as you are whilst also inviting opportunities for change. This can show up in ways like how we handle our emotions, deal with stressful situations, and navigate relationships with loved ones.
TRAUMA INFORMED THERAPY: While we will spend a large amount of our time creating a safe therapeutic space together, sometimes healing & growth can be difficult in that it may bring up painful memories or wounds. With gentleness, compassion, and evidence based trauma informed techniques, I guide you to come back to yourself, and find presence in the therapeutic space together. The voices & experiences of the past do not define who you are. Life can be full of surprises & unexpected turns, but what matters is how you come back to yourself. You don’t have to do this alone, I will be right there with you in every step of the way.
  • You don’t have to talk about your trauma to heal and love yourself if that isn’t what you want to do! You can still heal and grow without even talking about it, or talking about what happened.
  • It is natural if you desire to explore your body but are afraid of your body at the same time. Together, we will only engage in approaches that are aligned to where you are on your journey. Remember, everything is an invitation. You are not expected to do something you are uncomfortable with. My intention is to empower you.
